Dick Gregory  was best known as a comedian and as a protestor of the Vietnam War. He ran  for President in 1968 as a write-in candidate under the Freedom and Peace Party. "He garnered 47,097 votes, including one from Hunter S. Thompson with fellow activist Mark Lane as his running mate in some states." (Wikipedia). Interestingly, he appeared with others as VP on the ballot in some states. No separate listing found within OCLC.
