Fulani, Lenora B. [1950 - ]. Lenora B. Fulani for President / Independent Candidate for President of the United States. New York: [1992].
Folding brochure from the 1992 campaign of Lenora Fulani for President, opens to 11" x 17". Notes her positions clearly -- support for civil rights for all, a national health care system, the right to an abortion, adequate housing for all, free education for all, protection of the air and the water, animal rights, no capital punishment, for people not profits, no censorship, less military. Unfolded, the center is designed as a poster and offers a discussion by the candidate on Democracy and the Economy. 3-1/2" x 8-1/2". Very Good + condition.
Born Lenora Branch, she and her husband adopted the name of the West African people Fulani as their last name when they were married. Long active in New York politics, she ran for President on the ticket of the New Alliance Party in 1988 and again in 1992 and was the first African-American woman to get ballot access in all 50 states.
