Dick Gregory wanted to run under the Peace and Freedom Party but they selected Eldridge Cleaver as their candidate instead. This clever advertisement helped Gregory to obtain more votes than Cleaver did. "Nationally, Gregory outpolled Cleaver, receiving 47,097 votes to Cleaver's 36,623 because Cleaver had been disqualified by some states because of his age." Gregory speaks about this leaflet in a brief Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HOnTKxCZhQ.
