[The Hollywood Publicity Company, Inc.].  Stars of the Movies and Featured Players: Two Hundred and Fifty Portraits alphabetically arranged.  Hollywood, California: The Hollywood Publicity Co., Inc.,  (1927).

Flexible limp leather boards, front cover gilt stamped with lettering and a six-pointed star, green endpapers. Contents are a Foreword and full page portraits of many of the stars of Hollywood in 1927. The last printed page notes the various available bindings; this is a copy of the Limp Leather De Luxe that was priced then at $5.00. The cover is printed with the name Reginald Denny. Further, his portrait appears first (out of the otherwise alphabetical sequence) and with no printing on the reverse, and repeated in sequence as expected. All other leaves are printed on both sides. We find no explanation for this. .  7" x 9-3/4"; Limp leather covers soiled, sunned and well worn along edges, binding has a lean. A few pages show soiling along edges, overall the interior remains VG.  Overall Good.  (#6289).

There are three entries for this title in OCLC. Two identify Frank Keenan as the author; his portrait appears within in alphabetical sequence but there is no other reference to his name inside this book. Quite scarce in the trade, even more so in this deluxe edition.
