Calhoon, F. D..  WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT ALTERNATIVE FUELS AND DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO ASK.  A primer for the average motorist who is concerned about his next tank of gas. Why it costs so much, and what can be done about it.  Sacramento, California: Privately Issued, 1980.

Tan wraps, stapled. Typescript text with two reproductions from industry publications. The author received his Bachelor of Science from UC Berkley (sic) and wrote this because he was "mad as hell" (inside front cover) about the crisis. This copy signed by the author on the front cover.  8-1/4" x 10-3/4"; iii, 58 pp.  Covers mildly toned, slightly soiled and with small areas of silverfish damage, unmarked apart from signature on front cover.  VG, NONE.  (#6290).

Published in January, 1980, very much at the height of the oil crisis which saw Americans in lines to get expensive and often rationed gasoline. "The American people are being held hostage by the oil producing nations of the world. They are aided and abetted by the major oil corporations." (rear cover). An uncommon title, we find but a single holding in OCLC, at the Cole Library in Iowa.
